My NEWER radio bumper

I know, I know, I’ve completed this before. However… that one was for the DS106 radio! Since we’re creating our own podcast, I’ve decided that I wanted to make a new one for ours! I really was excited about completing this! I made mine a little creepy with the background noise, since our first segment is horror based. It’s also October, so it’s totally appropriate that it’s creepy. I’m perfectly on schedule.

I recorded this on my computer, and anyone could tell I was trying to put more dialogue into this radio bumper. That’s what I wanted to do though, and I feel that I did that. This goes with the theme for our semester because what we’re talking about is movies from the 80’s. For my last bumper, I related it to Disney channel, but I decided for that this one I would do my best to make it sound like a radio bumper that podcasts would actually use. I actually am really proud of this one, and the creepy ambiance in the background helps a lot with tying all of it together.

Description: “Now that we have a #ds106 radio up and running creating a 15 to 30 second bumper for the station. What is a bumper? It is a short recording that identifies the radio station with signature music or an expression that makes sure the listeners know what they are tuned into (see So for ds106 it should certainly include “DS106 Radio” and some sort of message about the station with voice over music.”
